We were instrumental in the setting up of both of these clubs.  Our thoughts were to have a joint German Shepherd breed club and a IPO working club. With experience gained as a committee member then Chairman and event manager at BGSDTC we set up the breed side first in spring 2013. Later that year we introduced the IPO side. We had been members of Bolton Schutzhund club and Croft IPO for a number of years and were able to call on their members to help establish our new IPO club renting their field and equipment off them as well as using their experience in the sport.

North West GSD Group has been registered with the GSD League and WUSV/BRG since 2013. Kenyon IPO has been registered with the GSDL WDG since 2014

By 2016  our breed side was organised and had enough funding to host our first North West .GSD Group Regional with SV Judge Dieter Oeser and UK Judge Lily Hannan, and we look forward to this becoming an annual feature with SV Judge Ralf Wille booked for 2017.

Our IPO side continues to progress well with the purchase of much needed equipment and continued improving training techniques with a large proportion of our training focusing on obedience and control. We have been in the fortunate position to have further help from other GSDL Working Groups sharing ideas and information.

In 2016 we acquired new premesis and continue to progress.
